‘The Nelson’ was a fun restoration in classic navy with bright gold gilding accents befitting ‘Admiral Nelson’. The exterior was in good condition but all of the drawers needed repairs to loose dove-tail joints and broken or cracked bottoms. I sanded the top and divider board between the stacked drawers and finished in a clear semi-gloss to let the natural beautiful of the mahogany shine through. For a crisp nautical vibe the cabinet and drawer fronts were painted in navy with the drawer detailing lined in gold. The new bright brass reproduction hardware replaced the missing original hardware to complete this restoration.
